Most of us linked to the Speare
family of Inwardleigh can trace our roots back to Richard Speare &
Mary Carpenter. Following a visit to Devon in October 2010 with
Paul Speare we have found the baptism of Mary Carpenter on 4th July 1756
in Meeth, Devon. Mary was the daughter of Richard & Prudence
Carpenter.
